Corpse found in graveyard
199X..
Concluding an elusive missing person case, the Yee-Haw Sheriff's Department recently discovered the dead body of Mary-Jo Clarkson, who had been reported missing on April 16, 1924.
The corpse was found hidden inside a wooden box buried six feet under the ground. The police discovered this horror when one of their men was on patrol.
"I was riding by the Yee-Haw town seem-a-somethin' when I noticed a stone slab sticking out of the ground," Deputy Dan Miller recalls. "Upon closer inspection, I discovered that it was the person for whom we had been searching so long."
Rescue crews were brought in to extricate the remains of Clarkson, and soon discovered that many more bodies were buried underneath the sod.
While this would appear to be the work of a mass-murderer, the truth of the matter was later discovered.
According to her descendents, Clarkson left home for a walk in the park approximately seventy-five years ago. When she did not return home after fifteen minutes, her parents filed a missing person report with the Sheriff's Department. Later that evening, Clarkson returned, but her parents did not contact the police. Ever since that day, the Sheriff's Department had been keeping an eye out for Mary-Jo.
The Yee-Haw Sheriff's Department has issued a formal apology to all families whose relatives were removed from their graves and promised that they would soon be removed from display in the Sheriff's Department's lounge
